Dosage

The recommended dosage of capecitabine is 200mg/m2 administerd orally daily with food for 2 weeks followed by a 1-week rest  period given as 3 week cycles The capecetabine daily dose should be given orally in two divided dose ( approximately 12 hour apart ) at the end of the meal capecetabine tablet swallowed with water The following table displays the total daily dose by body surface area and the number of tablet to be taken at each dose.

Overdose 

The anticipated manifestations of acute overdose are nausea vomiting , diarrhea , gastrointestinal irritation and bleeding and bone marrow deprsssion. It should be managed with supportive medical interventions aimed at correcting the presenting clinical manifestations. Although no clinical experience has been reported, dialysis may be benefit in reducing circulating concentrarions of 5-DFUR, a low-molecular weight metabolite of the parent compound.

Warnings 

Before starting treatment with capkaso  tablet, please inform your doctor about your previous medical history. If you experience any symptoms while receiving capkaso (capecitabine), do not ignore those symptoms because it may lead to higher risk. 

Contraception 

Use effective methods of contraception to prevent pregnancy while taking capkaso tablet. 

Children

Capkaso  tablet keep  out of reach of children . 

Warnings For Female 

Pregnancy 

capkaso (capecitabine) shouldn’t be used by pregnant women. Capkaso  may cause harm to the baby. It is recommended that this medicine should be avoided during pregnancy. 

Breastfeeding 

capkaso (capecitabine) is not recommended in breastfeeding unless it is required. Please consult your medical advisor before starting treatment.

Precautions

Regular monitoring of blood pressure is required during treatment with this medication. 

capkaso (capecitabine) medicine may increase the risk of bleeding. 

If you have low blood glucose levels do not take capkaso tablet without consulting from your healthcare provider. 

Do not take capkaso  tablet, if you have a history of heart disease. 

capkaso may cause dizziness in some patients. 

The use of capkaso tablet may cause skin reactions.  

Capkaso  medicine can reduce the number of white blood cells in the body. 

Cautions

Do not drive or operate heavy machinery. 

Do not break or chew the tablet. 

Not safe for pregnant women. 

Do not breastfeed while receiving this medication.
