Common Side Effects
Abdominal or stomach pain or tenderness.

Dosage
Patients with poorly tolerated diarrhea (sometimes associated with dehydration) or skin adverse drug reactions may be successfully managed by providing a brief (up to 14 days) therapy interruption followed by reinstatement of the 250 mg daily dose. NO dosage adjustment is required on the basis of patients age, body weight ,gender, ethnicity,or renal function; or in patients with moderate to severe hepatic impairment due to liver metastases keep this medication out of reach and sight of children.
Overdose
The acute toxicity of Gefitinib up to 500 mg in clinical studies has been low. In non-clinical studies, a single dose of 12,000mg/m was lethal to rats. Half this dose caused no morlality in mice.

Gefitinib is used to treat metastatic (cancer that has already spread) non-small cell lung cancer in patients who have certain types of abnormal epidermal growth factor (EGFR) genes, and did not receive cancer medicines in the past. Your doctor will perform a test before you take this medicine.
